K'Ball is a non-invasive, single use low criticality rate classI MDsupplied non sterile by 11 in a translucide cartridge. It consists of aPOM Cspherical shell crossed in its polar axis by a tapping in which aPTFEductile insert is inserted.
A316headless hex screw is inserted in a tapping emerging from its equatorial line and ending at 90° in the center of said polar axis.
Under an intensive torque strength applied through an MSF screwdriver the hex screw will compact the ductile insert until it immobilizes the pine it encloses, preventing it from drifting under fatty tissue.
K'Ball adjusts to all pins Ø ranging from 0,6 to 2 mm. It protects the patient, the nursing staff and the surgeon from injuries likely to be caused by the sharp pin tip, above all when several contiguous pins are handled in a small space.
K'Ball withstands nearly 200 autoclave cycles without altering the materials that compose it, but tends to yellow over 100 cycles.
K'Ball is designed to be used intuitively without the need of a color code, nor directional arrows or the 90° bend of the protruding pin.
Last but not least K'Ball optimizes supply management and minimizes excess stock.
